A line with somewhere to go

A newly composed 20-bar bebop chorus begins at 0:42. The original introduction, bass, underlying tempo and bar timing are unchanged. Guitar and bass only.

Short arpeggio shapes become chromatic lines, resolve through the changes, move down into the guitar’s lower register, then climb into the middle section. Rests separate the phrases. The faster notes form new melodies rather than filling spaces in the previous solo.

This is an original composition over Charlie Haden’s changes, not a transcription of Pat Metheny. All sound comes from the existing physical string and body models, with no samples. The simple per-note synthesis and fingering remain limitations; this is a composition test.
