Let the whole piece ring.

The same Giant Steps theme, solos and ending. B applies the post-gate mute timing to every written guitar note, without changing the tune, pickup circuit or amplifier.

1 minute 20 seconds · same 248 notes · matched guitar loudness

A · earlier muting

The preserved complete Gauss/release recording.

B · later muting

Newly synthesized throughout, with the same continuous instrument.

A full-piece extension of the short timing test—not a declaration that the guitar now sounds realistic. All earlier versions, the short comparison and Ruth remain unchanged.

What changes—and what doesn’t

The existing positive mechanical mute starts at each written gate instead of 24 milliseconds before it. The same 24 ms ramp follows. All 162 picks, 86 connected arrivals, pitches, onsets, velocities, strings and written gates remain fixed. String vibration and the shared bridge retain state through the whole performance.

Both takes use the same amplifier input calibration and chain; one constant post-amp gain matches B to A's playback level. Bass and drums remain unchanged. B contains no old guitar PCM, new melodic notes, bends, vibrato or exact Scofield imitation.
