Spatial pickup study · unapproved

The same strings.
Two pickup positions.

The old sensor sits 10.5 cm from the bridge. B moves the sensing aperture to an illustrative 16.2 cm neck position, reading the actual string motion rather than applying another EQ.

Same 248 notes, contacts, six-string mechanics, electrical circuit, amplifier and backing. Constant gains match amplifier-input RMS and guitar playback loudness. This is a controlled tone experiment, not proof of realism.

A location, not a finished guitar

The 12 mm aperture samples the same mesh. Changing its position changes which partials cancel, differently at different frets. Whole-performance mechanical work and pick logs remain exactly identical.

The geometry is illustrative, not a measured named pickup or Slash rig. Linear magnetic conversion, generic electronics, scheduled bilateral contact and one polarization still limit the model. Numerical checks do not tell us whether it sounds convincing.
