Giant Steps

Rejected: this does not sound like a saxophone. This band integration failed the sound requirement. Kept as an archive, not presented as an improvement or a finished performance. The audio is unchanged.

The standalone physical alto model04 in the preserved arrangement, with the original bass and drums. The model04 source and standalone recordings remain unchanged; score and player adaptations belong to this separate take. Earlier versions stay untouched.

As in the preserved old physical-alto take, both solo choruses are one octave lower, retaining their intervals and onsets. Heads and ending keep their original pitches. Harmony, form and tempo remain unchanged; there is no additional arrangement rewrite.

The accompaniment source is the original ride-trio-03 rhythm WAV. This remains an alto performance, not a switch to tenor.

The same model04 engine runs continuously across the tune, with no key-state resets or crossfaded radiation masks. This song preset uses 1.25 mm register vents instead of the standalone lab's 0.65 mm, and lighter tongue contact, to handle the fast register jumps. The original lab is untouched.

Still experimental: five short note windows fail the pitch check, with octave-high estimates. The existing solo lines are unchanged: this compares the sax sound, not improved improvisation.

This is the existing arrangement, not a fresh transcription of the original recording. It is a listening experiment, not a certification of improved realism, realistic human performance or physical passivity. Numerical checks are not listening approval.
