The complete 32-bar theme of Charlie Haden’s “Waltz for Ruth,” with our own accompaniment. Guitar and bass generated from string and body models. Hear the original recording ↗
From the opening to the final chord
The opening is unchanged. From 11.25 seconds onward, revised voicings follow the tune’s seventh and altered chords while leaving space for the melody. The complete 32-bar theme takes 46 seconds.
Our arrangement of Charlie Haden’s tune, not a recreation of the album performance or its solos. Same procedural instruments; no recorded samples.
Comparison with both recordings
The melody and chord tones were checked against the lead sheet. The accompaniment and phrasing are still ours. Compare the original Waltz for Ruth and Our Spanish Love Song.
A sustained B♭3 measures approximately 233.9 Hz in Waltz, 233.7 Hz in Spanish, and 233.3 Hz in our guitar. One matched note does not establish the instruments’ open-string tunings. Our guitar still has a tuning and decay weakness around G3; the score correction does not fix that physical-model limitation.
